Description

Overview

This 1 inch lockable ball valve is a quarter-turn shut-off valve in 304 stainless steel, with a lever that has a lock tab so you can padlock the line open or closed.

This is the smallest valve in our lockable range, for 1 inch lines and pump outlets. Stainless steel resists corrosion on wet or outdoor lines. The supplier does not state a pressure rating or thread type, so tell us your pipe and working pressure and we will confirm before you order.

Key features

304 stainless steel body resists rust outdoors
Lever with a lock tab for a padlock
1″ inlet and outlet
Quarter-turn operation, open or shut at a glance

Where it works

One inch lines run from small farm tanks, pump outlets and wash points, where a locked valve stops casual use of a shared supply. Contractors on Gauteng sites fit them to portable tanks and bowsers. The lockable ball valve 1 inch is compact enough for tight skid pipework. Browse the valves and chemical handling equipment, and compare with the 1.5″ lockable ball valve and the 1.5″ brass foot valve.

Before you order, send us the size, thread and liquid you are working with and we will confirm the fit, so you do not wait on a part that does not match. We can also suggest the companion fittings you will need to finish the job.

Questions about this product

How do I lock the 1 inch ball valve?

Turn the lever to the open or closed position and fit your own padlock through the lock tab on the lever, so the valve cannot be turned by anyone without the key. The padlock is not included. This is a simple control for tank outlets, bowser lines and shared yards where product must not be drawn off.

Is the valve really stainless steel?

The body is 304 stainless steel, which is a common grade for water, fuel and mild chemical lines. It resists rust well in wet and coastal conditions. The supplier does not state the seal material or pressure rating, so ask us if your liquid is aggressive or your line runs at high pressure.

What thread does it have?

The supplier does not state the thread type, so we list it as on request. Tell us what is on your pipe or tank outlet, such as BSP or NPT, and we will confirm the fit before you order. The size is 1 inch inlet and outlet.

Do you deliver a 1 inch ball valve to Rustenburg or other towns outside Gauteng?

Yes. Kamano delivers with its own trucks from Polokwane to all nine provinces in 1 to 3 days. At 0.5 kg shipping weight this item falls in our up to 30 kg band at R550, or free if your order reaches R20,000 (VAT incl.).
