Does this kit come ready to use?

The pump, flowmeter, hoses, nozzle and foot valve are supplied on a mounting frame, so most of the assembly is done. You still need to fix the frame, run a 12V supply with a suitable fuse and switch, and connect to a clean diesel tank.

How accurate is the flowmeter?

The FM120 is an oval-gear meter rated for 20 to 120 L/min, and the kit pump runs at 40 L/min, well inside that range. We do not publish an accuracy figure for this meter, so calibrate it against a measured volume if you need exact records.

Can I use it on a solar or battery system?

Yes. The 155 W DC motor is modest, so a 12V battery bank charged by solar or an engine works well. Size the cable and fuse properly, and remember the duty cycle is 30 minutes, so let the motor rest between long runs.
