Description

Overview

This 2″ dry break adaptor is the male tank-side half of a dry-disconnect pair: it fits on the tank or fill point and seals when the female coupler is removed, so fuel stays in the line. It mates with a 2″ female dry break coupler on the hose.

Order it with the matching 2″ female dry break coupler if you need the hose end. The 3″ male dry break coupler is the other option when you are sizing a transfer line.

Check the seals and the poppet face every time you connect, and keep the dust caps on when the fitting is idle. Dirt on the sealing face is the main reason a dry break coupling drips. Because both halves must be the same size, confirm the size on your tank fitting before you order. If you are replacing a damaged coupler, a photo of the old one helps us match it.

What does dry break mean on a fuel coupling?

Dry break means the coupling seals both halves automatically when you disconnect them, so there is almost no spill. You connect the female coupler to the male adaptor, transfer the fuel, then disconnect with little or no drip. That keeps the site clean and saves fuel.

Which size dry break coupler do I need?

Match the size on both halves. This one is 2", so it must mate with a 2" female dry break coupler. Check the size marked on your tank fitting or hose. If you cannot read it, send us a photo and we will help identify it.
