A 0.55 kW motor suits shallow to medium boreholes feeding a house, a garden or a small stock trough. Do not connect this motor straight to a 220 V single-phase plug. It must run from a variable speed drive (VSD) or a solar pump inverter, which turns single-phase or solar power into three-phase output.

Can I run this 220 V three-phase motor off a normal plug?
No. It is wound for 220 V three phase and must be driven by a VSD or a solar pump inverter that makes three-phase output from single-phase or solar power. Connecting it straight to a single-phase plug will not work. Tell us your supply and we will point you to a suitable drive.
Which pump end will this motor fit?
It suits 4 inch pump ends, including the Vega 4SD and 4ST ends of the same power rating. Always match the motor kW to the pump end rating, and check the borehole is 100 mm or larger. Send us your pump end details and we will confirm the fit before you order.
