Will a 60 litre tray hold a leaking 210 litre drum?
No. A 60 litre sump only holds 60 litres, so it suits leaks and drips, not a full drum failure. For drums use one of our drum spill pallets, which are sized to catch a full container. This tray is for jerry cans, gearboxes, compressors, generators and decanting points where the volume at risk is small.
Why get a tray with feet instead of the flat one?
The feet lift the tray off the ground so air and water can move underneath. That helps drainage, cuts corrosion and damp on the floor below, and lets you sweep or hose beneath it. The flat tray sits directly on the surface. The platform here also lifts out so you can clean the sump.
Is the platform removable?
Yes. The slip-resistant platform lifts out using its hand inserts, so you can empty and wipe the sump. The viewing gaps in the platform let you check for liquid without moving anything. Containers stand on the platform, clear of any spilt liquid collecting in the sump below.
