Overview

This 20 litre steel drum is the small closed-top option for carrying fuels, oils, chemicals and similar liquids to wherever they are needed. It has a fixed head with two metal screw bungs, one 2 inch and one 3/4 inch, and a handle for one-hand carrying.

It is made from mild steel in South Africa and finished in blue. At 280 × 280 × 380 mm and 3 kg empty, it fits on a bakkie load bed, in a workshop cupboard or on a shelf. Supplier dimensions of 28 × 28 × 38 were in centimetres and are converted here.

What size are the bungs?

There are two metal screw bungs in the top: a 2 inch and a 3/4 inch. The larger one is for filling and for fitting a pump or tap adapter, and the smaller one works as a vent or pouring opening. Both are supplied with the drum.

Is 20 litres the right size for me?
