This 210 litre galvanised open-top drum has a full-width removable lid and a rust-resistant galvanised body, which makes it the toughest outdoor option in our open-top range. It comes with a lid and latch ring, a plain interior, and is listed as UN approved.

At 18 kg it is heavier than the painted open-top drums, because of the galvanised build. Use it for solids, pastes and bulk goods that you need to scoop, or for liquids that you decant by lifting the lid. A cable lock is available if the drum has to be secured.

Why is this drum heavier than the painted open-top drums?

The galvanised construction adds weight, and this drum ships at 18 kg compared with 16.5 kg for the painted ones. That also reflects the thicker protective finish. The extra 1.5 kg is the price of better rust resistance outdoors, and it does not change the delivery band.

Can I add a liner and a cable lock?

Yes. A round bottom liner sized 610 × 1300 mm in 100 micron is a good fit for this drum, and a cable lock is available to secure the lid. Neither is included with the drum, so tell us what you want and we will quote it on the same order.

Is the interior lined?

No. The interior is plain galvanised steel with no lacquer. That suits many oils and solids, but not everything. If your contents are sensitive to metal contact, a lacquered open-top drum, or a liner inside this one, will keep them clear of the wall.
