Overview

The 1000 L nesting bin is an open-top storage bin with a lid that slots inside other bins of the same type when empty. That makes it cheaper to move and easier to store between seasons than a rigid drum or tank of the same volume.

It is moulded from virgin LLDPE that the manufacturer describes as food grade, UV-resistant and BPA-free, and it handles liquid or dry bulk. The body is 1150 mm in diameter and 1300 mm high, rising to 1460 mm with the lid on, and it weighs 25 kg. Where it works

Livestock farmers use nesting bins for loose feed, licks and grain, and fruit and vegetable packhouses in Limpopo and Mpumalanga use them for produce in transit. Food processors, warehouses and recycling depots stack them empty to save floor space.

Place the bin on a level, stable surface and do not exceed its recommended storage volume. It is for above-ground, stationary use only.

Delivery and warranty

Kamano delivers with its own trucks from Polokwane to all nine provinces in 1 to 3 days, with regular runs to Johannesburg, Pretoria, Polokwane, Mbombela, Rustenburg, Tzaneen and Durban. At roughly 27 kg shipped, it falls in the up to 30 kg order-weight band, which is charged at R550. Orders of R20,000 or more (VAT incl.) are delivered free.
