Description

Overview

This diesel filter cartridge is a replacement water-absorbent element rated for 70 L/min, made in the Piusi pattern used on 70 L/min water-absorbent filter heads. Its media soaks up free water and holds back particles down to 30 micron, so the fuel that reaches your engine is dry and clean.

Once a cartridge has absorbed its limit of water, flow drops sharply and it has to be replaced. Keeping a spare in the store means a blocked cartridge never shuts down your fuel point in the middle of planting or a busy shift. Write the fitting date on the cartridge with a marker each time, and you will soon know how long one lasts on your fuel supply.

Key features

Water-absorbent media traps free water in the fuel
Filters particles down to 30 micron
Rated for flow up to 70 L/min
Fits 70 L/min water-absorbent filter heads of the Piusi pattern
Quick change without disturbing the pump or hose

Where it works

Every diesel filter cartridge of this type has a limited water capacity, so fuel points on humid KZN farms, Western Cape wine estates in the wet season and Mpumalanga mines with older tanks get through them faster. Fleet workshops usually keep two or three on the shelf. It suits our 12V 40 L/min kit with water-absorbent filter, and if you are building a new fuel point, add a 1 inch dirt trap filter ahead of it to catch coarse sediment first. Delivery and warranty

Kamano delivers with its own trucks from Polokwane to all nine provinces, normally in 1 to 3 days. This item ships at 1 kg, which puts it in the up to 30 kg band at R550. Orders of R20,000 or more (VAT incl.) travel free. Ask us for the warranty terms on this model.

Questions about this product

Will this cartridge fit my filter head?

It is made for 70 L/min water-absorbent filter heads of the Piusi pattern, like the ones on our diesel pump kits. If your head comes from another maker, send us a photo or the part number from the housing before ordering, and we will confirm whether it fits.

How do I know the cartridge needs replacing?

The clearest sign is flow. When the pump runs normally but delivery slows to a trickle, the media has absorbed its limit of water and is blocking the passage. Replace it straight away. Do not dry it in the sun and refit it, as it will not absorb water properly again.

How much is delivery for one cartridge?

A cartridge ships at about 1 kg, so it falls in the up to 30 kg band at R550 anywhere in South Africa. It makes sense to order spares with other parts to share the delivery fee. Our own trucks leave Polokwane and usually arrive in 1 to 3 days.
