Description

Overview

This unit is an air eliminator for bulk meter lines that also houses the inlet strainer, sized for M-40 and M-50 meters. Fuel enters the housing, passes through a mesh basket, and any air or vapour rises to the top where a float valve vents it before the liquid reaches the meter. The meter then counts only diesel, not bubbles.

Air gets in more often than people think: when a tanker compartment runs dry, when a suction hose has a tired seal, or when a pump starts on a half-empty line. Without an eliminator those litres of air are billed as fuel. It mounts directly to the M-50 2″ bulk flowmeter or the smaller M-40 1.5″ bulk flowmeter.

Where it works

Road tanker offloading points, fleet yards and agricultural co-ops use this set-up wherever fuel is bought and sold by the litre. Questions about this product

Will this fit an M-80 or M-100 meter?

No. This housing is sized for M-40 and M-50 meters only, with 1.5" or 2" ports. The larger meters use their own bigger housings, such as the M-80 and M-100 units, because they move far more fuel per minute. Tell us your meter model and we will match the correct one.

Why do I need an air eliminator if my pump is good?

A good pump still pushes air when the supply tank runs low, a tanker compartment empties or a suction joint leaks. The meter counts that air as litres. On a busy depot the error adds up quickly, so the eliminator pays for itself in fuel you are no longer paying for twice.
