Overview

The QBK50 aluminium air-operated double diaphragm pump moves up to 240 L/min through 2″ ports, powered by compressed air alone. It self-primes to a 7 m suction lift, delivers up to 6.9 bar, passes solids up to 8 mm and carries PTFE (Teflon) diaphragms.

The aluminium body is the cost-effective choice for fuels, oils and water-based liquids, and it keeps the pump light enough to move by hand. For acids or caustic liquids, choose the polypropylene or stainless steel versions instead. Because there is no electric motor, you can run it wherever you have an air line, and it keeps pumping against a closed outlet. Where it works

A 2″ pump with 8 mm solids handling is used for dewatering sumps and trenches, moving slurry and emptying large tanks. It is a common choice for contractors and mine service crews who need a pump without an electric motor near wet ground. Coal mine sumps in Mpumalanga and quarries in Limpopo use the 2″ aluminium pump for dewatering.

What compressor do I need for the QBK50?

The QBK50 uses up to 900 L/min of compressed air at full flow, so size your compressor to deliver at least that at working pressure. A smaller compressor still runs the pump but limits its flow. Fit an air filter and a regulator so you can throttle flow and pressure, and keep air pressure at or below 6.9 bar.

Can the aluminium QBK50 pump diesel and oil?

Yes, aluminium suits diesel, oils and many water-based liquids, and it is lighter and cheaper than stainless steel. Avoid strong acids and caustic liquids, which attack aluminium. For those, choose the polypropylene or stainless steel version. Tell us the liquid and we will confirm the right body before you order.
