Overview

The PVC downpipe shoe sits at the very bottom of a downpipe and turns the water outwards, away from the wall, so it does not pool against the foundations.

Without it, roof water drops straight onto the ground at the base of the wall, and over time that means damp, erosion, mould and even foundation damage. The shoe changes the direction of the flow so the water leaves clear of the structure. It is made from durable PVC with a smooth inner surface that keeps the water moving, and its construction resists corrosion and weather. Its product code is 6009675432561. It is lightweight, easy to install on new work or as a replacement, and needs little maintenance. Match it with the 80 mm x 3 m downpipe and fix the run with a holderbat. Where does the shoe go?

It fits at the bottom end of the downpipe, where it turns the outflow away from the wall and foundations. It does not connect to a tank inlet. If your downpipe feeds a tank, use an elbow instead and keep the shoe for runs that discharge onto the ground or into a drain channel.
