The unit is 1480 mm across, 2320 mm high and weighs 48.5 kg, light enough to transport and position with a small team. The door is 470 mm wide and 1710 mm high.

Where it works

It suits farms in Limpopo and the Free State, construction sites in Gauteng, schools, parks, campsites, community projects and remote residential properties. Install it over a pit that is deep enough for waste to break down and that complies with local regulations. Where a pit is not suitable, the unit can be connected to a compatible septic tank and soakaway. Place it on stable, level ground. For a sealed option, see the toilet with chemical pedestal, or the pit toilet hut only. Browse more site structures.

Questions about this product

Can I install the pit toilet over an existing pit?

Yes. The pedestal is open-ended so it sits over a traditional pit. The pit must be deep enough for waste to break down and must comply with local regulations. Place the unit on stable, level ground, and use a compatible septic tank and soakaway where a pit is not suitable.

What colours does the pit toilet come in?

It comes in green or tan, both at the same price of R 5,780 (VAT incl.). The unit and pedestal are identical in both colours. Tell us which one you want when you order, and we will confirm availability.

How much is delivery for a pit toilet to Mahikeng?

The unit ships at about 52 kg, so it falls in the 30 to 60 kg band at R950, and delivery to Mahikeng takes 1 to 3 days with our own trucks. Orders of R20,000 or more (VAT incl.) get free delivery.
