Overview

This medium diesel hose reel is a painted steel drum with a hand crank that stores up to 40 m of 20 mm hose, or 25 m of 25 mm hose, between refuelling jobs. It is the standard-finish version of our medium reel, built for fuel points that sit under a roof or inside a workshop where weather is not the main enemy.

Long hoses left on the floor get driven over, kinked and dragged through grit. Winding them onto a diesel hose reel keeps them clean and protects the fittings. For a reel that lives in the open, the medium galvanised hose reel is the better buy.

What is the difference between the standard and galvanised reel?

Only the finish. Both medium reels hold the same 40 m of 20 mm hose or 25 m of 25 mm hose and wind by hand. The standard reel is painted steel and costs less, which suits workshops and covered fuel points. The galvanised reel resists rust far better on open trailers, coastal sites and wash bays.

Will a 25 mm hose fit on this reel?

Yes. With 25 mm bore hose the drum takes about 25 m, because the thicker hose fills the drum faster. If you need more reach than that, drop to 20 mm hose and you can wind on up to 40 m. Check that your hose fittings match the reel inlet before ordering.
