This small diesel hose reel is a galvanised steel drum with a hand crank that stores 20 m of 20 mm fuel hose. It is sized for bakkie bowsers, small skid tanks and service trucks, where space in the load bin matters more than reach and a 20 m hose already covers most refuelling jobs.

Being galvanised, it handles life in the open better than a painted reel. Stones, rain and diesel spills all wear paint off a reel that rides in the back of a bakkie, and zinc keeps rust at bay where paint gives up. If you need to reach further, step up to the medium galvanised hose reel, which takes 40 m.

In most cases, yes. The small reel is the compact option in our range and holds 20 m of 20 mm hose, which is enough for most refuelling from a bakkie. Measure the gap beside your tank first and leave room to turn the crank. We can confirm frame dimensions when you order.

Can I put 25 mm hose on the small reel?

It is rated for 20 m of 20 mm hose. A 25 mm hose is bulkier, so you would fit noticeably less length and the drum may not wind evenly. If you run a 25 mm hose for a faster pump, choose one of the medium reels, which take 25 m of 25 mm hose.
