Overview

This gravity diesel dispensing kit adds a transparent-bowl 10 micron dirt filter to our basic gravity setup. Fuel runs from your elevated tank through a 1 inch brass ball valve, the filter and a K24 digital meter, then out through a 25 mm hose and nozzle. There is no pump and no power supply.

The filter catches rust and sediment that settle in tanks on stands, which is where sludge tends to collect. The clear bowl makes it easy to see when to drain it or change the element. Together with the digital meter, it gives a farm or site clean, counted fuel with no running costs and very little to maintain.

Where it works

A gravity diesel dispensing kit with a filter makes sense on older tank stands on Limpopo and North West farms, where years of condensation and rust have built up inside the tank. Questions about this product

Will the filter slow down gravity flow?

A clean 10 micron element rated at 100 L/min adds little restriction, but gravity flow is gentle to begin with, so a clogged element is noticed quickly. If fills slow down, drain the bowl first, then replace the element if needed. Keeping the tank outlet above any sludge layer also helps.

Can I fit this to a tank with a 2 inch outlet?

Yes, with a reducer. The kit is built around 1 inch (25 mm) fittings, so a 2 inch to 1 inch reducing bush on the tank outlet is all you need. Tell us your tank outlet size when you order and we will confirm exactly which reducer and thread you need.
