Overview

This 45 kW (60 HP), 380 V three-phase motor in frame 225M is the drive end for DL vertical multistage pumps in the DL45, DL64 and DL90 families. The DL pump ends are sold without a motor, so you need one to complete a new pump or to replace a burnt-out motor.

It uses a 225M frame with a B3/B5 foot and flange mount (F225M B3-B5), so it can be fixed by its feet or by its flange. The 2-pole winding turns at about 2900 rpm on a 50 Hz supply.

380 V three-phase is the common supply on farms and industrial sites. It needs a three-phase supply, so a house or small farm on 220 V single-phase will need a different motor.

Where it works

Farms in Limpopo, the Free State and KwaZulu-Natal, and industrial yards on 380 V three-phase, use this motor to drive DL pumps for irrigation boosting, wash-down lines and plant water supply. This is a heavy motor for the big DL64 and DL90 pump ends, used for high-flow, high-pressure water supply. Shipping weight is about 325 kg. That is over 100 kg, so delivery is on quotation for your site. Free delivery applies to orders of R20,000 or more (VAT incl.).
