50 mm Layflat Hose, 15 m, Light Duty, 300 kPa Burst Pressure

Description

Overview

This 50 mm layflat hose is a light-duty delivery hose for moving water from a pump to where you need it. It comes in a 15 m length and rolls up flat for storage and transport, which makes it easy to carry onto a site and drag across a field. The cover is abrasion resistant with high adhesion, and the burst pressure is 300 kPa. It is a basic hose for low-pressure jobs, listed in our pump spares and accessories.

Because the burst pressure is modest, treat it as a transfer hose, not a pressure line. Keep it well below the burst figure in everyday use.

Where it works

Layflat is the hose of choice for dewatering a flooded trench, emptying a farm dam, topping up a water cart or running a temporary irrigation line from a petrol or electric pump. Contractors in Gauteng and the Western Cape use it to clear excavations, and farmers in Limpopo and the Free State use it to move water between dams and lands. Match the hose to your pump outlet with the right coupling. For permanent threaded pipework look at the 50 mm galvanised swage nipple, and for a pump-side connection see the 25 mm anti-vibration flexible hose.
