Overview
This 5000 L water tank with 0.75 kW VSD booster pump gives a homestead, small farm or lodge a complete storage-and-pressure set from one order. The tank holds the water, and the variable-speed pump keeps pressure steady at the taps, even with a shower and a hose running together.
The pump is a self-priming aluminium-body unit with a Noryl impeller, rated 83.3 L/min and 35 m head, so it suits low-to-medium pressure jobs rather than long irrigation lines. Where it works
A 5000 L tank is a common size for borehole farms in Limpopo and the Bushveld, where a single storage point buffers a slow yield through load-shedding hours. The VSD pump is also a good fit for guest lodges and staff housing, and it reduces the pressure swings you get from a fixed-speed pump. Keep the pump under a ventilated cover, out of rain. Questions about this product
Does this set run off one phase?
Yes. The 0.75 kW booster pump is 230 V, 50 Hz single-phase, so it plugs into normal farm or home power. It needs a proper electrical connection by a qualified electrician, and the pump must sit under a ventilated cover, away from rain and spray. It handles clean water up to 40 °C only.
Is the tank delivered with the pump fitted?
No. You get the 5000 L tank and the pump as separate items in one order, and you connect them with pipework and fittings suited to your site. The tank is shipped bare. If you tell us your layout when ordering, we can advise what fittings you will need.
Which delivery fee applies to this set?
The set ships at 94.3 kg, so it falls in the 60 to 100 kg band at R1,450. Orders of R20,000 or more (VAT incl.) ship free. Because the tank is bulky, we confirm the truck arrangement with you before dispatch to your farm or site.
Will it push water up to a roof tank?
It lifts to about 35 m of head at the pump, which covers a standard house with a pressure demand of a couple of bar. For long irrigation runs or high elevation you should step up to the 1.5 kW version. Tell us your rise and pipe length and we will check it.
