Description

Overview

A 5,000 L open-top bin gives you a big, simple bulk container, 2300 mm across and 1500 mm high, for liquids and dry goods handled from the top. It weighs 80 kg and is rotationally moulded from virgin LLDPE that is UV-resistant and BPA-free.

Compared with a closed tank, the open top makes loading, mixing and inspection easy, and the smooth interior is quick to clean between loads. Choose blue from stock or red made to order. For a larger volume see the 10,000 L open-top bin, and for smaller needs the 2,520 L open-top bin. The full range sits under bins and troughs.

Where it works

Farms use 5,000 L open-top bins for bulk feed, grain, molasses blends and water, and food processors use them for sauces, fruit and vegetables in transit. Mines and plants use them for general-purpose bulk containment of non-hazardous product.

Build a level, well-supported base and position the bin before you fill it. It is for above-ground, stationary use only.

At roughly 85 kg shipped, it falls in the 60 to 100 kg order-weight band, which is charged at R1,450. Orders of R20,000 or more (VAT incl.) are delivered free. Questions about this product

Can two people move a 5,000 L bin?

Empty, yes. It weighs 80 kg, but it is 2300 mm across, so the width is the problem rather than the weight. Place it before filling and never move it with product inside. Plan truck access to the site and a level base before delivery.

Which colour should I order?

Blue is normally available from stock and is the quickest option. Red is made to order, so allow extra time. Both cost the same and have the same size and weight. Pick red only if you need it for colour coding on site.

How much is delivery to Rustenburg?
