Overview

This 37 kW (50 HP) variable speed drive is a large drive in our 380 V range, built for big three-phase pump motors and rated at 80 A. It alters the frequency fed to the motor so the pump follows the flow and pressure the application needs at any moment. With a motor this size, running at the right speed rather than full speed is where the savings are largest.

A soft start also protects the shaft, couplings and rising main from the surge of a direct start, which counts on deep boreholes and long, high-head lines. Check the full-load current on the motor plate against the 80 A rating.
