Overview

This reducing nozzle swivel connects a 1″ delivery hose to a 3/4″ fuel nozzle and lets the nozzle rotate. The 3/4″ male end screws into the nozzle and the 1″ female end takes the hose, so one part replaces a reducer bush and a separate swivel.

It is the full-size body; the compact 3/4″ x 1″ swivel does the same job in a smaller housing. If your nozzle is 1″ as well, choose the full-size 1″ x 1″ swivel instead.

Where it works

A reducing nozzle swivel is the fix when a farm tank or depot pump has 1″ hose but drivers prefer a lighter 3/4″ nozzle for bakkies and small tractors. It turns up on citrus farms in Limpopo, sugar farms in KZN and municipal workshops refuelling graders and TLBs. Because it removes one threaded joint from the line, there is one less place for diesel to weep and one less part to work loose when the hose is dragged across a yard.
