Overview

The 2 HP submersible turbine pump motor is the 220 V, 50 Hz single phase drive unit for the larger fuel pump, drawing 10.5 A at full load. It turns the impellers of a pump sitting in an underground tank, so it is the part to replace when a motor burns out or seizes. It is the heavier-duty partner to the 1.5 HP pump motor and pairs with the 2 HP head and the 40 µF capacitor.

Where it works

Forecourt technicians in Gauteng, KZN and the Western Cape fit these on busy stations, and Mpumalanga coal mines and Limpopo transport depots use the 2 HP size on high-throughput tanks. Farms with large buried diesel tanks on Free State grain operations also run it. Pair it with a 2 HP pump head from the submersible turbine pump range.
