Overview

This used 210 litre tight-head steel drum has a plain, unlined interior and is the cheapest sealed barrel in our range. It is a reconditioned drum, listed as UN approved, with the usual closed top and bung openings for oils, diesel and general liquids.

Being used, it may show marks and wear that a new drum does not, so it is best for utility jobs: used oil collection, storage at a shed, water or waste. A drum plug wrench is available if you want to open the bungs cleanly. Standard 584 × 584 × 876 mm footprint, one per unit.

Yes, used tight-head steel drums are widely used for diesel, oil and general liquids. Check the drum for dents, leaks or rust before use, keep the bungs tight, and stand it on a spill pallet. Tell us what you plan to store if it is anything other than fuels or lubricants.

What was the drum used for before?

Used drums are reconditioned stock, and we do not always know the previous contents. If your use depends on the history, such as food or reactive chemicals, buy a new lacquered drum instead. For general storage and used oil, a used plain drum is the economical choice.

Can I get a wrench to open the bungs?

A drum plug wrench is available as an add-on and opens bungs quicker and without damaging them. It is not included with the drum, so ask us to add it to your order and we will deliver both together on the same truck.
