Description

Overview

The SP30-32 (VP32A-32) is a 6-inch stainless steel multistage submersible borehole pump with a 30 kW motor rating. At 24 m³/h the SP30-32 still lifts water 284 m, and its shut-off head is 364 m, with flow reaching 42 m³/h at the far end of the curve. It is made for very deep boreholes where a lot of lift is needed, such as mine dewatering supply lines, bulk farm supply and long rising mains.

Add your pumping water level, the climb to the tank and about 10 percent for friction, and check the borehole yield with your driller. Send us those figures and we will confirm the SP30-32 fits.

Questions about this product

What borehole size does the SP30-32 need?

The SP30-32 is a 6-inch pump, so the borehole needs an internal diameter of at least 150 mm. Check the casing size and any bends or dog-legs with your driller before ordering. If the casing is smaller than 150 mm, this pump will not go down, and we can point you to a 4-inch model from the borehole pump range.

Should I choose an oil-filled or a water-filled motor?

Either works. Oil-filled motors are sealed and rated 25 bar, while water-filled motors are rated 35 bar and can usually be rewound if they burn out, which normally makes repairs cheaper on larger motors. For the SP30-32 the 380 V set prices are the same, so choose on repair preference.

Can I get delivery to Richards Bay and what does it cost?

Yes, we deliver to Richards Bay with our own trucks from Polokwane, normally in 1 to 3 days. A boxed SP30-32 set weighs about 216 kg, over 100 kg, so delivery is on quotation. A pump end alone (51 kg) falls in the R950 delivery band. Orders of R20,000 or more qualify for free delivery.

How do I know the SP30-32 is right for my borehole?

Add your pumping water level, the height to the tank and about 10 percent for friction. The SP30-32 must beat that total at your flow, for example 309 m at 18 m³/h or 245 m at 30 m³/h. Also get the yield test from your driller, because the borehole must deliver that flow. Send us your figures and we will confirm.

Does the 525 V set include a starter?

No. The 525 V set is the pump end and a water-filled motor only, so your electrician must supply a suitable starter panel or VSD. The 380 V sets include the 30A controller instead. Tell us your supply voltage when you order and we will advise the right option for the SP30-32.
