Overview

This honey sucker with pressure washer is a braked double-axle trailer carrying two 1000 L IBC tanks. One tank takes effluent through a 3 inch centrifugal trash pump; the other holds clean water that feeds a 186 bar petrol pressure washer. It lets one crew pump out a tank and then blast the unit, slab or drain clean before moving on.

The effluent side is a trash pump moving roughly 50,000 L/h at 2.5 bar, not a vacuum system. It pulls sludge and liquid waste through the suction hose straight into the tank. Questions about this product

Can the pressure washer run off the effluent tank?

No, and it should not. The 186 bar washer draws from the separate 1000 L clean-water tank. Dirty water would wreck the washer pump seals within days. Keep the clean tank topped up from a municipal supply or borehole, and use the effluent tank only for waste pumped through the trash pump.

Is a trash pump as good as a vacuum tanker for septic tanks?

For most septic, conservancy and pit work it does the job well. The 3 inch trash pump moves roughly 50,000 L/h and handles sludge with small solids. It is simpler than a vacuum system, with no vacuum pump or seals to service. Very thick, settled sludge may need stirring or water added first.
