Overview

The SP30-12 (also listed as VP32A-12) is a 6″ stainless steel multistage submersible borehole pump with up to 137 m of head and flows up to 42 m³/h. It belongs to the SP30 range, nominally 30 m³/h, and runs on three-phase power. At 24 m³/h (24,000 litres an hour) it still delivers 107 m head.

Allowing 10% for pipe friction, that suits roughly 97 m of total lift. The borehole must be at least 150 mm inside. Buy it as a complete set, or as a pump end to replace a worn one. See more borehole pumps.

Questions about this product

What is the difference between the SP30-12 set and the pump end only?

The set gives you the SP30-12 pump end plus an 11 kW 6" three-phase motor and, on 380 V options, a 30Y controller. The pump end only is the wet end, for replacing a worn one on an existing 11 kW 6" motor. Cable, rope, delivery pipe and base plate are not included in either.

How deep a borehole suits the SP30-12?

Add your pumping water level, the height up to the tank and about 10% for pipe friction. At its 24 m³/h duty point this pump gives 107 m head, so roughly 97 m of total lift. The borehole must also deliver the flow, so ask your driller for the yield test.

Should I choose an oil-filled or water-filled motor?

Both drive the pump the same way. Oil-filled motors are sealed and rated 25 bar. Water-filled motors are rated 35 bar and can usually be rewound if they burn out, which normally makes repairs cheaper on bigger motors. Tell us your site and we will advise before you order.
