Description

Overview

This 1000 L vertical water tank is a low, round tank, 1100 mm across and 1250 mm high, that two people can position by hand because it weighs only 25 kg empty. It is rotationally moulded from food-grade LLDPE and comes with sealed 40 mm connectors and a leaf catcher. It suits home rainwater harvesting, garden irrigation and small stock-water jobs. Browse the full water tanks range to compare.

Options

One tank in three colours, all at R 2,172 (VAT incl.). The tank, fittings and leaf catcher are identical.

Green, R 2,172: blends into gardens and farmyards.
Grey, R 2,172: a neutral match for sheds and walls.
Tan, R 2,172: sits well against dry ground and brick.

Colours can vary slightly from the photos.

Where it works

Typical uses are a rainwater tank at a Limpopo smallholding, a header tank for drip irrigation, or water for a few cattle and goats. A 1000 L tank is also a sensible first step for homes that want back-up water during load-shedding. For a taller, narrower tank of the same volume, look at the 790 mm wide slimline version in our range; for more storage, compare the JoJo 2,700 L vertical tank. A smaller option is the JoJo 500 L vertical tank.

Above-ground, stationary use only. Stand it on a level, prepared base and secure it once filled. Installation is not included.

Questions about this product

How many people do I need to move a 1000 L tank?

Two people can carry or roll it into place because the empty tank weighs only 25 kg. Never move it full. Stand it on a level, prepared base and secure it once you have filled it.

Is a 1000 L tank enough for rainwater harvesting at home?

It suits a small roof and household back-up or garden use. For a full family supply across the dry months, step up to a 2,700 L or 5000 L tank. The leaf catcher helps keep debris out.

What does delivery cost to Tzaneen?

At 25 kg it falls in the lowest band, up to 30 kg, at R550. Orders of R20,000 or more (VAT incl.) ship free. We deliver with our own trucks from Polokwane to all nine provinces in 1 to 3 days.
