Description

Overview

The 1000 L horizontal decant tank is a low, wide water tank that holds and moves water as one unit. Tank and pallet are moulded as one piece, with forklift depressions in the pallet base so the full unit lifts with a forklift. It is food-grade virgin LLDPE, UV resistant and BPA-free, with a black inner liner against algae. At 60 kg empty and 935 mm high including the pallet, this 1000 L horizontal tank keeps the load low on a trailer or flatbed.

Options

One tank in three colours, all at the same price: Green R 5,796, Grey R 5,796 and Tan R 5,796 (VAT incl.). Every option includes the pallet in the matching colour and the base outlet fitting. Colours on screen can differ a little from the real tank because of lighting and monitor settings. Baffle balls or a baffle tube are not included and are bought separately.

Where it works

On Limpopo and Mpumalanga farms it carries drinking water to troughs and work crews. Gauteng contractors use it for dust suppression and mixing water, and mine camps keep one on a trailer for emergency supply. It is for above-ground use only, and it must be secured once full: it weighs about 1,060 kg then. Need more volume? Can I lift the 1000 L horizontal tank with a forklift?

Yes. The pallet base is moulded into the tank and has forklift depressions, so you lift the complete unit with a forklift. Keep the forks fully under the pallet and never lift by the tank walls. A full tank weighs about 1,060 kg, so check your forklift rating before you lift it full.

Does the tank come with a tap or outlet?

It comes with an outlet fitting at the base and a 40/50 mm connector. You add your own hose, pipe or pump to suit the job. Baffle balls or a baffle tube are not included, and you buy them separately if you want to stop the water surging while the tank is on the move.

How much is delivery to Rustenburg?

The tank ships at 65 kg, so it falls in the 60 to 100 kg band at R1,450 (VAT incl.), unless your order reaches R20,000 and ships free. Our own trucks deliver from Polokwane to Rustenburg in 1 to 3 days. The driver offloads at the nearest entry point on the property.

Can I use it underground or for diesel?

No. This is a water tank for above-ground use only, and it should be secured once it is full. If you need to store or move diesel, chemicals or other liquids, ask us for the right tank for that liquid before you buy.
